Target Market:
This specific project is aimed towards 'Tron' fans, which could be any age. The speaker needs to reflect 'Tron' in terms of aesthetics, so it will appeal to its proposed market.
Product Requirements: The speaker must produce a high sound quality, amplified from an mp3 player/Ipod.The speaker must house the components (eg. the battery and speaker) securely and safely. It also must have a high finish that reflects the 'Tron' theme.
Size/Weight/Durability:This speaker must be small in size and easy to carry around, therefore light weight. This project must be durable enough to with stand any damage caused from regular use, especially as this is a portable speaker.
Aesthetic: The 'Tron' themed speaker must have a look that compliments 'Tron Legacy'. Therefore detail, colour, shape and form should be influenced by 'Tron Legacy'.
Manufacturing Process: This spaeaker is a prototype. The manufacturing process should be influenced by the use of CAD/CAM technology; Pro Engineering, CNC router, 2D design, and Rapid Prototyping to name a few.
Safety: The speaker must be made to a high standard, as this is a prototype and therefore should not pose any health and safety risks.
